Former St. Xavier High School faculty member, Bobby Nichols ’09, spoke to Mr. Zoeller’s freshman theology class this week about the Xaverian Brothers’ mission in Bungoma, Kenya. Bobby completed service work this summer at the St. Xavier High School in Africa.

“It was such a blast to be ‘teaching’ back at St. X for the morning,” said Bobby. “I always thought the freshman theology curriculum on the history of the Xaverian Brothers and the legacy of St. X was such an important part of instilling the values of the school from the start. To be able to join that lesson, and discuss the mission of the Xaverian Brothers in Kenya was an honor. Let’s Go X!!”

Like St. Xavier High School in Louisville, KY, the school in Bungoma, Kenya, knows that while academics are important, the faculty members focus on transforming the students spiritually, physically, and mentally during their time within the halls.
