St. John’s Prep Students Help Build Little Libraries for Community

L.U.N.A (Latinos Unidos en Acción) and the St. John’s Prep Asian Cultural Club joined forces to support The Real Program to build little libraries to be installed around Lynn, MA. REAL Lynn is a non-profit organization founded in 2013 that strives to improve literacy in the community.

REAL Program volunteer Buck Harris arrived at Memorial Gym equipped with lumber and tools and guided SJP students as they built the little libraries themselves! Retired SJP Spanish teacher, original founding moderator of L.U.N.A, and current REAL Program volunteer Gerda Pasquarello was also there to lend a helping hand. This event was the natural follow-up to a pre-COVID book drive that was done by L.U.N.A. It was a fun, rewarding, and productive day for all!
