In the fall of 2019, Alijah Iraola was looking for hope. Things didn’t look promising.
A freshman in high school, he and his family were struggling to make ends meet. And survive.
Today, he is a senior at Lowell Catholic High School, a terrific two-sport captain with a 3.5 grade-point average who is hoping to become the first person in his family to attend college.
“My goal is I want to buy my mother a beautiful house one day. After what we went through, it’s just something I have to do. I have to go hard every day and do what I need to do in the classroom so I can get that house for her,” he said.
