New Executive Director of XBSS

Patrick Slattery

We are pleased to announce that the Members have selected Dr. Patrick J. Slattery as the new Executive Director of Xaverian Brothers Sponsored Schools, effective July 10, 2017.

Patrick is currently the Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of Omaha, a role he has filled since 2013. Prior to that, he served as Principal and then President of Skutt Catholic High School in Omaha for nine years. He has a varied career as a math teacher, technology director, dean of students and residential life director in Massachusetts, as well as head of school at schools in Maryland and Nebraska.

Patrick earned his Ed.D. from Creighton University after completing an M.Ed. in Administration, Planning and Social Policy at Harvard University. He also has a B.A. degree in mathematics from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA and is a graduate of Xavier High School in Middletown, Connecticut.

Patrick possesses expertise, experience, vision and leadership qualities. Above all, we know that his passion for the mission of Catholic education and the charism of the Xaverian Brothers will enable him to guide us into the future of our sponsorship model and the continued excellence of our individual schools.

Please join us in welcoming Patrick – as well as his wife, Beth and his two children Michaela and Patrick – to the community of XBSS!

Finally, we want to thank the members of the Search Committee for their fine work and, most of all, express the appreciation of all of us to Alice Hession for her years of tireless service and leadership of our Sponsorship efforts.
