Nazareth’s Gama Droiville '18 To Attend the Washington Journalism & Media Conference

Gama Droiville, a junior at Nazareth Regional High School, has been invited to the Washington Journalism and Media Conference as a National Youth Correspondent representing New York and Nazareth Regional High School. The Conference will be held on the campus of George Mason University just outside Washington D.C. from July 9th to the 14th.

Gama has received many awards for his hard work, excellent grades, bravery, and for being an inspiration to others. When he was 13 years old, he was struck in his right eye by a stray bullet while standing at a bus stop in Brooklyn with his aunt and cousin. Though he can no longer see in his right eye as a result of this injury, he offered an inspiring message: “I forgive my assailant with all my heart because that's what Jesus would do."

Gama is an extraordinary student and we wish him the best of luck with his trip to Washington, D.C. in July.
