Malden Principal Brother Thomas Puccio, CFX and Athletic Director Mr. Patrick Driscoll Receive Recognition

MC Principal Brother Tom Puccio, C.F.X., received the Distinguished Service Award Friday, April 8th from the MIAA (Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association). One of the most important awards given by the Association, the committee recognizes members with outstanding service to educational athletics and impressive contributions to the MIAA. Furthermore, the award recognizes long-term service to the MIAA and athletics in the recipient's school community. Those selected to receive this award have made a significant impact on the lives of student-athletes and are seen as a positive role model for all student-athletes.

Mr. Patrick Driscoll (pictured second from left) was recognized as MIAA's District H Athletic Director of the Year at the Annual Meeting for Mass. State Athletic Directors in Hyannis on Wednesday, March 30th. The award, which recognizes eight athletic administrators from across the state who have excelled in the profession, is given by the Massachusetts Secondary Schools Athletic Directors Association (MSSADA).  Mr. Driscoll was nominated by his peers at a recent District H meeting. MIAA District H represents most Catholic high schools in Massachusetts. Recipients of the District Athletic Director of the Year Award are selected from persons nominated by their respective district athletic directors associations.
