Lowell Catholic’s Walk-A-Thon
On October 19th, Lowell Catholic students will lace up their sneakers in an effort to raise over $85,000 in support of their school community. This year’s “Raise the Roof” theme infuses a celebratory feeling to the event as construction continues on the Stevens Street Campus. In this student-led fundraising effort, each of Lowell Catholic’s approximate 680 Crusaders has taken on a personal goal to raise funds in support of initiatives that directly benefit advancements in technology, student life activities and co-curricular clubs. Last year, students from the High School and Elementary School collaboratively raised more than $85,000.
4th grade Lowell Catholic Elementary students line up to start their walk at Callery Park for LC’s Walk-A-Thon last fall.
During the annual event students are joined by faculty, staff and parent volunteers who help make it a festive and exciting day for all. LC’s elementary students enjoy activities around campus, while middle and high school students take on the challenge of a three-mile hike around the Highland’s neighborhood in Lowell.
