Grandparents’ Mass and Brunch at St. Bernard School

The Most Rev. Michael R. Cote, bishop of Norwich, celebrated a Grandparents’ Mass on April 6th at Saint Bernard School. The event is an annual tradition its ninth year and was attended by about 250 people. This occasion aims to connect generations and celebrate grandparents and the special meaning they hold in our lives.

SBS senior Faith McBride welcomed the grandparents to the Mass. “Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of traditions that linger on in cherished memory,” she said. “Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. Their very special love sets them apart. Through happiness and sorrow, through their special love and caring, grandparents keep a family close at heart.”

Following Mass, grandparents attended a brunch in their honor.
