Arts Thriving at Lowell Catholic

Lowell Catholic creates a school environment that allows students to be creative thinkers and explore the arts through several avenues.

The school has developed a comprehensive arts program that encompasses drama, fine arts, music, choir, dance and band, and serves students from grades pre-kindergarten through 12 and beyond with additional online and AP offerings.

"We have redesigned our Fine Arts curriculum to be more progressive and develop each student's artistic voice year to year, which prepares them for rigorous AP Art courses where students feel confident in expressing their ideas," said Heather Falardeau, chair of the Fine Arts Department Chair and an art instructor.

"I am blown away every year by the dedication to the arts and creative-thinking skills of our students, and Arts Week always serves as a visual reminder of why we emphasize the arts at LC. It is the place where many of our students truly thrive."

Matthew Andrea, who recently won a full scholarship to Savannah College of Art and Design, said, "Lowell Catholic's arts program inspired me to better my skills each year. Working with Ms. Falardeau and learning different techniques prepared me to pursue a career path of architecture and interior design."
